Beech Hill Clothing believes that our responsibility as human beings is to tread lightly on the earth. We are working to achieve this by creating “upcycled” clothing, a term coined by William McDonough*.
Mr. McDonough defines this as the process of taking an item that is headed for the landfill and instead, redesigning it for a new use. The landfills are less crowded and the item’s resources are used – and enjoyed – for a much longer period of time.
Beech Hill Clothing offers handmade, colorful, upcycled fashions for children and women including shirts, skirts, dresses created in a variety of ways:Since each item is handmade, it is unique. We do our best to match our products’ photographs but some slight variations do occur. You will enjoy a one-of-a-kind garment for years to come. Welcome to the world of Beech Hill.
*William McDonough is a world-renowned architect, designer and winner of three U.S. presidential awards: the Presidential Award for Sustainable Development (1996), the National Design Award (2004); and the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2003).
